About CHECC
Posted by: | CommentsCHECC is a group of parents living in Southeastern Arizona, who love their children and are dedicated to educating them at home, and want to share ideas and collaborate on events with other home school families. We all recognize that, by ourselves, we are not able to provide for all of our children’s educational needs, but through the help of others we can. We share our experience with each other and we share our specific talents and abilities. We host group events such as field trips, spelling bees, enrichment classes, history, science fairs and sports teams. We help coordinate classes for people to share specific knowledge and talents such as gardening, cooking, art, and science. We also desire to serve God through teaching His children and willingly sharing the gifts He has given us with others. We teach and encourage each other through our monthly parent meetings. If you would like to be a part of this group, we would love to have you join.
The CHECC Statement of Faith with scripture references can be found on the Statement of Faith page here.
God has existed from all eternity in 3 persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ was God come in human flesh being fully God and fully man, except without sin.
All men are violation [sic] of God’s righteous requirements and His holy character both by nature and act, and are therefore under His wrath and just condemnation.
The central purpose of the coming of Jesus Christ was to pay the penalty for man’s sin through His substitutionary death on the cross, the successful accomplishment of which was attested to by His subsequent visible, bodily resurrection.
Salvation is offered as a gift, free to the sinner. This gift must be responded to in individual faith, not trusting in any personal works whatsoever, but in the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ alone.
We are here to help, encourage, and to provoke one another to love and good works.
